Whole experience spoiled by abysmal bar service. 8 or 9 of us in 3 separate groups had to stand at the bar and away from our tables, waiting over 10 mins to be served and the staff totally ignored us as they walked past us several times to the till. Then 3 playing with phones at the far corner of the bar before then totally disappearing into the room behind. My partner eventually went and called them out to us to get us all served. They must lose a fortune in potential bar sales.

The place was very well appointed. The staff were very friendly. The prices for the rooms in comparison to what you got were over the top , by quite a margin . We paid 112£ for B &B . The breakfast was priced at around a £10 on the menu . That means the charge for a very small double room was £92 per couple In my experience that really is about 25-30£ over and above what it should be . The breakfast wasn’t unpleasant but took over an hour to be dealt with ,on a that was on a very quiet morning .when it arrived it was not warm and cold before one could finish it. The bed was too soft , like a half inflated balloon . Each time one of us moved the other had to , unavoidable, so one of us was constantly waking the other up . The result of that was not much sleep for either of us. The dinner the evening before , three meals not up to scratch two not warm one not edible. However the staff really were apologetic and generous with the remedy . Was very satisfied with that outcome . However won’t be staying again

Long weekend and stayed in room 4. The sloping ceiling caused quite a few bumps to the head as you may expect if you're over 6' but didn't spoil the visit. Ensuite lovely and everything needed was available including coffee/tea and soaps/shampoo. Booked the restaurant for Saturday night but didn't realise there was no restaurant service after 5.00pm on Sundays and had to go out for food. Overall a fabulous place with lots of outside seating and even has a marquee.

Thank you so much to the two lovely ladies that worked in the bar this morning. Broke down outside this place and we went in to buy a coffee. They were extremely helpful. Will definitely be going back for food. Thanks guys

We started there with fish and chips and beer. It was great. Nice, clean, beautifully served, and the staff was friendly. Stopped for the night over Christmas Nice room. Warm and comfortable. Good communication before the visit giving key collection advice on arrival. Breakfast was perfect. Fully recommend

Beautiful old pub which has been recently renovated. Pub and food both excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and clean. One of the best places we have stayed in that price range. Rooms: Spotlessly clean room (and that's coming from someone who runs their own cleaning company) lovely ensuite with great shower. Food & drinks: Ate in the pub on Friday evening. They were really busy but no delays on food and when it came it was all lovely. Staff were rushed off their feet but all working hard and things were running smoothly. Had breakfast the following morning which was included in the price of our room. Again it was delicious and all freshly cooke.

The Adam and Eve is nothing short of spectacular. The menu is wonderful with something for everyone. The food is excellent. Real top quality restaurant food. Plenty of choice for desserts and all absolutely delicious. Great drink selection to again with something for everyone. Wonderful atmosphere with very friendly patrons. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and attentive. A credit to the establishment. Truly dog friendly as well. If you want to visit the Adam and Eve you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful evening 😊

This was my third visit, and again, delicious food and a wonderful waiter. He made a very small error with my starter, but couldn't be more apologetic, offering me complimentary drinks and the biggest portion possible for the replacement entree. He apologised so much, I felt so sorry for him. Truly a lovely young man.

Wow what a hidden gem! From start to finish amazing service by all staff especially new manager who was very attentive! Delicious food everything is definitely homemade with passion and the puddings are out of this world, very good value for money. 10/10 absolutely recommend Thank you Adam and Eve staff.
